Apple 4G iPhone with Live Video Chat Possible in JuneBy ChatRooms.NET - 2010-01-13
An Apple executive has offered claims of an OLED screen and video chat capability for the next-generation iPhone. The Korea Times quotes unnamed, high-ranking executives at KT, Apple's exclusive local partner in South Korea, as saying the iPhone 4G will have an OLED screen, support video chat and perhaps most surprisingly have a removable battery. It'll also reportedly have a dual-core processor, more powerful graphics and an improved camera. They said the coming 4G iPhones will be equipped with organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens on surface and live video chat functionalities, while a removable battery is highly likely. In addition the all new 4G iPhone will feature dual core processors and higher more powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions and better "still" images when taking pictures with the built in camera. The report claims that Apple is planning for a relatively early introduction of the new iPhone compared to previous June or July 2010 launches in order to counter the stream of Android-based smartphones expected from Google in the wake of its launch of the Nexus One. With Google's Nexus One sporting an OLED screen, Apple may have more incentive to upgrade. |
