Fring - Free Video Chat Phone Calls and All in One Messenger

Fring is a peer-to-peer Mobile VoIP based internet telephony network founded by Avi Shechter, Boaz Zilberman, and Alex Nerst allowing fring users to talk and chat using online communication services such as Skype, ICQ, Google Talk, MSN Messenger (Windows Live Messenger), AIM, Twitter, Yahoo Messenger, and SIP providers.

The fring founders, veterans of the mobile, internet and high tech industries, joined together to create an easy to use, consumer-centric, truly converged peer-to-peer service, enabling its users to take control of their online communications from one single place on their mobile phone, utilizing the handset’s inherent internet capabilities to do so.

All fring calls are routed to a VoIP gateway and PSTN termination server. Calls destined to GSM and PSTN networks pass through a circuit switch such as Skype or SIP. Calls to VoIP users continue through the VoIP gateway to their destinations. Fring currently lacks DTMF capability.

Fring today is an online community enabling you to access and interact with your social networks, make free phone calls, cell phone calls, and live chat all in real time. You can also send and receive files using fring file transfer capabilities, plus engage in conference calls with a party of people. Free Fring Video chat via cell phone is also now available to fring users/members.
